New Hubcaps Photoshop Request
So thanks to Chris07LB's great FAQ and C2AUTOSPL's great product I now have a non 4x4ing Yaris. However the hubcaps I bought for "Non Rim Season" are not really doing it for me. The return policy sucks so I'm thinking of painting them black (they are stainless steel.) I was hoping somebody with some photoshop skills could give me an idea of what it may look like.
This is my first time posting a picture in a forum so sorry if I screw it up I'll inlcude a link too this time just in case. If I get an X feedback is appreciated http://www.imagestation.com/8354615/3976040076 |

Haha, and I thought PANIC! at the Disco was a guilty pleasure.
I love those rims! I don't know why... everything in my being says hate them but I can't. I've never seen rims like that on a car, and in this day and age unique is hard to find. Here are some ideas... BLACK ecfd8e8c.jpg GREY 2.jpg DARK RED 3.jpg CHRIS CUSTOM 4.jpg GHOSTED YING YANG 5.jpg SPIN THE BOTTLE 6.jpg Last edited by ChinoCharles; 09-13-2006 at 09:14 PM. |

I think the red looks freaking hot (matches your rear lights), i like contrast.
Although I think gray looks sleaker.

Wow thanks for all the options! Did I do the picture right or did everyone have to use the link? The airbrush is sweet kinda like what I plan to snag for the "regular season" The Ying Yang really pops and I'd consider rocking it but not with my level of paint skills, I'd have to bring them to a vinyl graphic shop or something for that and I dunno if the cost would be worthwhile. Maybe I'll do black with a two inch silver line through the center since I really like the break in contrast. Or black with "Yaris World" vinyl lettering through the circumference
The springs are DF210s I installed them yesterday it took a little over 4 hours, yup I'm slow. I LOVE working on my own car but, I need to use guidance like the FAQ’s and instructions unlike those of yall who just "know." I’m really happy with the results though. Furthermore I was able to rent a torque wrench from Pepboys and the spring compressor from Advance so it was totally free to do! |

You didn't do the image right... make sure you are in advanced mode and click the paper clip, it will take you to the attatchment manager. The wonderful admins here have a robust bulletin and allow us to upload images to their site, so you actually store the pictures on YW's server space. Then just click the paper clip again to insert an image.
I was just kidding about the ying yangs... for the love of god please don't do anything like that, haha. I actually have to agree with vodkalush, the red is neat. Its your car though... I'm glad I could inspire you haha. |

Well I do appreciate the FAQ Chris, but with the hubcaps being brand new and the fact that Stainless Steel is going to be expensive to ship I don't think we could come to a price that would be fair to you for buying something "used." They do look the best so far in white on a white car though! I think I am going to try something with painting them, currently thinking black with a thin silver circle around the perimeter. Here is the link to where I purchased them though.

Sure thing Chris, it is dark now though, I'll pop them back on tomorrow and get you some close-ups (back to stock for now.) As far as fit there are about 60 retaining clips around the edge. As shipped they go on and more concerning off way to easy. I'll be taking the pliers and bending each one back for that nice tight fit once I paint them and decide to leave them on. I experimented with one and the fit was great just bending a few millimeters, needed to use the paint top wedge to get it off.
KetelOne that price is way better, even once shipping is figured in. I feel screwed!! I even checked around, but obviously not enough. I wonder if there is any difference that will alleviate my pain! |
