Only problem i ever had was my fault for shortening the rear dampers to their max, since adjusting them to longer they have been awesome

Tanabe = 4k front / 3k rear -- best quality, very agreeable ride for a street car, helper spring in front, no damping adjustment.
Megan = 5k front/ 2.5k rear -- 32-way damping adjustability (I think), drops a little lower.
D2 = crap, do not buy.

Being able to adjust your damper stiffness may be really helpful in that case. With a stiff damper setting you can help eliminate rubbing and control shock travel.

On my Prius C, I set the rears on stiff with passengers and it helps eliminate the rubbing I'd get on soft setting. Hope that helps.

I have the Megans, Mine came 6k/3k but the adjustability is unrivaled in that price range. They have a greater ride height range, they have full damper adjustability and offer preload and shock length adjustments as well

No more or less than any other Chinese brand, which is what you get in that price range.

I do know the Ginetta gt4's over here rode on Ohlins, those things were pretty badass in the rain.

In the dry they lacked power though.....

But yeah, I've heard a lot of good things about Ohlins, JRZ and Moton really. Though Moton nowadays is more like the elite racing branch of AST.

^ Ohlins "lacked power"?

Ohlins are expensive coilovers, overkill for a street set up, but very good brand.

No man, the engine lacked power compared to the rest of the GT4.

Everything else was about 400 hp, the ginetta's ran mondeo v6'es suped to about 300-350
