Hi all, I just got my 5 dr Le on Saturday. Very impressed so far and I'm loving the fuel economy!! Here is some great info on Yaris. It's the only car I could find in this Lemon Aid guide that has a predicted Excellent reliability. It makes me feel very good about my purchase! =---->

Hiya folks.

Nice to see a fan site up..
Another newly minted US Yaris owner, here.

It was an impulse buy, but I was a incredibly desperate for a cheap, efficient and most importantly, reliable new commuter. Drove off with a 2007 Sedan S A/T before I could do all my homework. However, no real remorse and I didn't get majorly screwed on the price.

Wish I could say I plan to mod the heck out of it, but an auto expert/freak I am not. Really it's just something reliable for me to pile a truckload of miles on to. OK...maybe I might want to upgrade the sound system, if I can figure out how to safely pull elements apart, but that's down the road - and maybe even after some posts with pictures/instructions by an experienced guy (hint) .

In last 2 weeks of ownershp, I have no real issues. My first Toyota.. so I can already see the fit and finish advantage - even on an entry level vehicle.

If push came to shove, the only thing that bugs me (a little) is that it can be sluggish when I have to really punch it (a problem in the A/Ts, as noted by some reviewers), but for the price I can't scream too high. Oh yeah, I do miss the Tach - even on an A/T. Who's f-ing bright idea was that?

Look forward to the post reads...

Welcome EconoBoxer, if the only thing you do with the vehicle is commute, then you might be able to remove the rear seats and some of the other stuff. Not to sure about a sedan and what can be easily taken off, but the lighter the weight the better the acceleration and the gas mileage.

I figured I'd chime-in on this thread - even though I've already posted several times before. YarisWorld has already proven to be a great source of information on the Yaris. Thanks to all for the great contributions everybody has made. I hope to provide whatever help I can based on my experiences... whenever my car arrives!
