Nice. Turbocharged 1.6-liter 3-cylinder engine.

I was wondering how they were going to offer the Corolla for $30k when the Yaris was around $35k to $40k...then I read it will not be AWD. That's just stupid.

As an apology for not bringing the GR-4 Yaris over? Geez, thanks.

Not hating on it. Just feels like an, "I'm sorry, BUT..." rather than a genuine apology. A genuine apology would be bringing the GR-4 Yaris over in 2022.

I might be interested if I was at least 20 years younger.

Main reason why the GR Yaris isn't coming to the US is because that body Yaris was never sold here. So it never went through the crash testing procedure. And the Yaris isn't a strong seller here, so I highly doubt Toyota will spend the cash to get it approved. That, and they have their contract with Mazda for the "Yaris" that we get here.
