^ Mine had the visible weld as well. Some of the newer units have the intake tube polished, which to me looks a little odd, with the rest of the blitz being matte.

I finished the blower part, got the throttle body on, connected hoses, etc. and got to the belt install. Popped the inner fender cover thing off to help with it and got it all on there the way it's supposed to go, but I'm not really sure how tight it's supposed to be. This is what it looks like right now.
The pulley is almost all the way down It seems like it gets looser if the pulley is higher, which makes sense. The problem is that this seems like the belt is entirely too loose. I'm no pro on belt stuff though.

That's waaaaayyyy too loose. Double check your routing versus the diagram in the install directions.

That's what I thought.... I checked the routing and it's the way the diagram shows. Is it possible maybe the wrong belt was in the kit? I just used the one that it came with.

Yeah, that's too long. You want a 66" long belt, like a 4060660 (six rib) or 4080660 (8 rib). The 8 is nicer because you slice it down the middle and get two belts for the price of one.

I sent a email to Garm to see if they'll just swap me for a proper belt.

I bought mine used and the original owner included a bunch of belts, including that one. I initially tried it, since it was brand new, but found that it fit like yours. I ended up installing one of his used ones until I had a chance to get a new 66" one.

I got all the mechanical jazz done, just doing the electrical now. Where have you guys mounted the boost switch? I have a sedan, so the dash may be different. I'd like to see some pictures of where any sedan guys mounted their boost switch if possible :) There's not a lot of room on the dash that doesn't have metal behind them :/

I know two people who installed on the center console, behind the ebrake (I think there are two spots for switches down there).
Is there a spot just inside the driver door on the front of the dash? The liftback has a good spot there too.

I installed mine on the back side of the storage pocket on the right side of the radio on my liftback.
