For once, I actually like dark wheels on a white car.

Nice job rice, rice job.

riceboy,

I assume your wheel is 17x7, 4x100, 40 mm offset as per the specs correct?

Have you encountered any rubbing or issues with the wheels and tires you selected?

Reason I ask is that I am close to purchasing some 17x7 with 40mm offset and am wondering if spacers or any modification is required.

The tint is 35% all around, and the wheels are 17X7/4x100/40mm, no rubbing issues whatsoever... When I was talking to my wheel guy, he advised that a max of 8 inch width could be installed.. 7.5 with no rubbing... dunno if he was just blowing smoke.. but if you want wider.. it might be available..

Anyone else know anything about a max wheel width? What if you have the TRD springs?

I don't believe the trd springs affect the max width you can use for wheels...

It does if your dropped over 2", which I dont believe the TRD's do anyway.

Naw its 1.75" I believe, but don't quote me on that. If I wasn't so lazy I'd find out just for the sake of this post, but guess what... mwahaha.

It doesn't matter anyway, I'm too poor for any of this crap right now.

Thx Robb... the rims weight?? I'm not sure.. has it made a big diff.. not really.. It's slower, but the car was slow to begin with... Did it bog it right down, and make it noticeably slower? absolutely not.. with this car you can get the lightweight wheels, but I think that it all comes down to personal preference.. hence the variance in wheel sizes from 14" to 20" depending on the owner.
