As promised, better pictures of the new ride!
Couldn't seem to do anything but stay in bed over the weekend, and by the time I got out on both days, daylight was short. So I got to take a few pictures with the real camera, so here they are! I haven't had it but four days, but i've already fallen in love with it!
And lastly, my previous car. I loved it so much. I didn't want to get rid of it, but it just had too many problems in only one year (Daewoo FTL!) that the lemon law was the right thing to do. So I won the case, and now I've got the Yaris. Now it's just time to wait on the settlement check so I can start my adventures. Now...to decide..moderate VIP style or the subtle race car look. Another option, a friend in Malaysia is willing to help me out collecting what I need to replicate a "Vios." Hardly anyone knows what it is now, should I make it even more confusing? |

Congrats on your ride. Sorry to hear about your previous one. The current Vios is a rebadged Yaris/Belta. So...I guess order a Vios badge if you want. I don't know if there is any other distinctions. But I could be wrong. Maybe little things like features and goodies but as far as exterior its the same for the most part.

In that last pic, you mentioned Daewoo, but isn't that a Suzuki S in the front grille?

Never had trouble with the water pump, but in one year, the problems were endless.
-Computer was re-programmed three times for a rough starting/stalling problem. -Cheap paint wears off the door handle for no apparent reason, fixed twice. -Car will not shift out of park, 'fixed' four times, still broken at buyback. Had to stop the car in neutral and pull the e-brake. -Combine that with a couple check engine lights and insanely hot temperatures under the hood, it was time to act. Quote:
Suzuki Reno (One I had) - Daewoo Lacetti 5/Chevrolet Optra5/Holden Viva/Buick Excelle XRV Suzuki Forenza - Daewoo Lacetti, Chevrolet Optra Suzuki Verona - Daewoo Magnus/Chevrolet Epica. Of course, Daewoo being notorious for being faulty, despite the awesome features and Giugaro/italdesign styling, the quality isn't a whole lot better, |

I suppose your username could confuse people into thinking you were French, I know i was!
Anyway nice pictures of your car! As for "Viosification", I don't think there's a whole lot of differences apart from the badges. The rear bumper is also slightly different on the Vios as there are foglights integrated. Also, the factory lip kit is different

I successfully 'shaved' off the "Toyota" emblem this afternoon, if anyone wants to see that picture.

Here we are. :)
Now, I just can't decide on whether I want to take off the Yaris part and try harder to find the Vios badge. |
