Pedestian Mod

I have the latest Pedestrian Mod.

He ran out (yes ran) into traffic from behind a bus.

You need a city Bus.....
4 police cars.....
Fire truck and ambulance.......
Rush hour Traffic.......

And two stand up people who came forward and gave statements to the police that they saw the whole thing. The bus was equipped with video too to verify everything.

Slight crease in the front fender and cleaned the power mirror off the passenger side.

Here is a piece of the email I received last night from the police department.

....your copy of the report went into the mail this morning, so you should have it shortly. In addition, I received a copy of the video from the bus, which clearly shows the accident, and the pedestrian disregarding the traffic control signals.....

I do not advise this mod to anyone. It detracts from the overall appearance and makes the driver really shaken up.

LOL. My brother's Fiat 500 (the original style) got "modded" by a pedestrian, in a Zebra Crossing (English pedestrian-always-has-right-of-way-crosswalk) He did not get ticketed for hitting the ped because the dent was in his DOOR. He was stopped in traffic and couldn't move. The pedestrian decided this was wrong, and kneed the door, then howled for an ambulance...

Do you think it was a pure accident or intended grift?

It was a blatant disregard for the traffic signal and he was trying to run across instead of waiting for the light to change.

If it was intentional he lost. Every witness and the bus video verified the same thing.

Twenty years ago a teenaged boy ran into my car while I was cruising along very slowly down a city street. He got up and rode away on his bike.

Never did find him, nor did I hear any word of an injured kid.

You have my sympathies, it's not easy hitting someone nor having someone run into you.

Well, judging by how this is going through the system, I would say it's the gift that keeps on giving lol

One of the commonest grifts in the world:a pedestrian comes out of nowhere, smacks a body panel with an elbow, has witnesses claim it was the drivers fault, coerces money from driver, or attempts to collect insurance. Looks like that could have been the intent. My dad was in the insurance busines and according to their statisics about 30-40% of such accidents are fraud. Not necessarily the case, but a very real possibility. The emotional upset, which unsettles the mark and makes him vunerable to the scamm is also one of the tools of the con artist.
