Need some help on brake pads
My wife has a 2002 Toyota sienna and just bought the brake pads and notice that there is a white stripe on two of the pads. So I guess that one is for the inside and one for the out side. Does any one knows which one goes where stripe or no stripe in the out side. thanks for the help.

I don't *think it matters. On the pads I sell, you can put them either place; they are not marked in any special way.
Maybe someone else knows better.

Sometimes it does. I know there are some hybrid pads that one is a ceramic typically the inboard pad and the outboard pad is semi matalic. So they do exist. And usually one has a white dot or stripe and one has a red. I cant remember which is for out and which is for in.

Could the white stripes be "wear indicator?" If they are then they go on the inside.
