If they had reviewed a Canadian-spec 5-dr Yaris (a RS even) it would have been a bit more fair. However, considering they only test US models it's understandable.

The Fit and Versa are great cars, and I can definitely see the Fit become a tuner favorite while the Versa offers much more competitive pricing and financing rates compared to a Yaris.

I bought my car July '07. I loved my Yaris then, and I love my Yaris now.
I love the head room, sound system, it maneuvers well in traffic, it's peppy, great on gas. I laugh at the SUV owner whenever I fill up. *evil* It's design is fun. I <3 my car.

I read that Edmunds review and nearly decided to avoid the Yaris. After finding many other reviews that seemed less biased and less nit-picky I bought my '14 3D MT. My guess was that they had deals with other manufacturers. I would imagine Toyota is just as hated by other makers as they are loved by us.
