Track Day - Horse Thief Mile, Willow Springs - Friday 4/23

Where - Willow Springs Horse Thief Mile – This is a 1.1 mile tight road course similar to driving a mountain road. There are switchbacks and lots of elevation changes. It is both a fun and challenging course. There are many safe areas to test the limits of your ability. This will not be a drift event. There will be a full safety and flag crew on site for the entire day. Sessions will last 20-25 minutes and alternate between the two run groups.

When – Friday April 23 8AM-5PM

How Much - $150 for almost 4 hours of track time. There will be only a maximum of 30 open spots, divided into 2 run groups, based on skill level and amount of people attending.

If we do not get enough people signed up by a week or so before the event, we will not have the event and you will get a refund. This will be a self tech event, and your car must be in working order, with no fluid leaks, working lights, good tires and brakes etc.. You will be sent a tech sheet after you sign up.

Please post or email me at tentenths@cox.net. Paypal will be accepted at tentenths@cox.net, or by check.

Please include the following information when you sign up:
Driver name and email
Car Model
Estimated horsepower
Tire type (street/race)
Driver experience level (beginner/intermediate/expert)

Here is a picture of the track. It will be run clockwise.

Thanks,
Ashley

sounds like a blast, I've never run that one.

Got a link or more information? Who is putting on the event?

Off topic, but I posted a poor 3.30 at Buttonwillow today, a few hours ago.

I'm putting on the event. This will be our first event so we are starting small. It is a great track for a Yaris, and a great opportunity to get your car on the track if you have been thinking about trying it.

For beginners or those that are new to the track we can have a lead follow first session to show everyone the line. Unfortunately we won't have any organized in car instruction available simply because of the short time until the event, and we need to have enough people attending to secure the event, let alone instruction.

If there are any questions feel free to ask. It should be a great day.

Come on out to our event. This track is very "yaris friendly".

April 23rd could be doable. I'll try to get that day off from work. We have no Auto-X at all that month so I'm sure a few of us will be feeling wound-up this lol

BTW, how bout a tiny little group discount for Team Yaris?

We are starting this as a business and this will be our first event of many. I may not be able to do anything for you guys this time because of the low head count. If you guys help me fill the event I'll see what I can do. I'd like to see a bunch of you guys out there. You guys will be more competitive with other cars than at some of the larger tracks.

I get ya. Have a feeling a few of our regular Auto-Xers are already itching to go, but I'll try to get some noobs out there too.

I may go to watch, but I'm saving my cash for another new set of tires, and Buttonwillow on April 11th.

I had to buy some S-Drives because everyone was out of Azenis. I wasn't to thrilled with the S-Drives.

If you're willing to drive up to El Monte, I'll take you to a guy who's got stacks of brand new Azenis just sitting around collecting dust in his shop.

Sorry, I meant 2:30. Slowest car of the day.

How much is he selling the Azenis for? And how soon would they be available for pickup?

'edit shouldn't have written what i deleted, yet.

I'll do my best to come out and watch, but I'm saving up for Buttonwillow again, on the 11th of next month. I've reached my target. The Tein Yaris's 2:10
