screeeeechhhhBAM!

1200$ away from being totaled.
I'm ok, had some sore back muscles really; other driver was perfectly fine which is great!
The airbag works :\
Yaris seems pretty safe, though I think any faster and this would've been pretty dangerous of an accident.

That's going to need at least two rolls of duct tape.

Looks like a pic taken at the body shop performing the fix.... Doubt it's a DIY repair. I personally would'nt want a car damaged this badly back after.

i'm still a wee bit sore on my back, but yea mostly everything is well and good. got my car back yesterday (less than 2 weeks to replace all that, plus a smooshed doorframe). you're right the body frame is fine and straight, and you're right I didn't want it back but there is not much I could do but accept what my insurance company wanted to do.
I'm tempted to do a quick sale of it, but in all reality I'll probably just keep it and drive it into the ground. ironically the day before the accident I was talking about how I wanted a few things different (bit more power, sunroof, split rear seats, roofrack for a kayak) and I ironically couldn't pay my finance bill that night due to server issues. I thought it was all a sign until the insurance company was like: yea we're fixing it.
oh well, still super happy no one is hurt-- just my ego :\

Wow, you're just across the border in SCAR. Props to that.

Uncool on the accident though. Major bummer, but glad everything's okay.
