Ha! You guys are the best. I wasn't aware of enginelandinc.com, but I've been holding off on taking a stroll down car-part.com for the same reason

Do you guys think going with the JDM version of the engine would be a good idea? If/when I'm ready, my plan was to use car-part.com and other resources to find a US version out of a wrecked car. I've heard of nightmare scenarios from subtle differences between JDM and USDM.

My understanding is that the USDM and JDM 2ZZs are the same and the only major difference is the ECU

As much as I love turbos, I would go all in on a high revving built N/A 2ZZ.
