insurance prices for Yaris

Anyone else paying a primo for insurance? My brother picked up a 11' rs 5 door hatch, he's got a clean record, is 26 years old and they want $2,900 /year!!!

I have my yaris (same year and model) under my company and I'm paying $1,900 /year which I thought was high as well considering I have 7 vehicles under the same company policy. My dad has a 14' Shelby gt500 and he pays under his personal insurance $1500 /year lol. Something is not right.

Post your car, your details and what you're paying... If you don't mind, of course.

The joy of living in GTA. Its ridiculous to pay 250$ a month for a car and get raped 450+$ a month on insurance.

After reading the OP, and BEFORE reading/scrolling past that, I immediately thought "it's because the OP lives in Canada and (even more specifically) in the GTA.

Unfortunately, New York is one of eight states in the U.S.A. that has no-fault auto insurance.......something these eight have in common with (IIRC) all of Canada.

Mine is a little over $500 per year for liability only (above the maximum limit on their mainstream policies) together/for both my 2007 and 2014. I'm also getting a discount because of the number of policies I have with that company.

P.S. Oops.....after posting I noticed your amount is for 6 months, not 1 year...ouch.

Just for comparison: about 1000$ per year for me, paying like 10 years without damages.
I pay 300€ retention to the damage I do to my car.

Wow that's amazing. Canadians, particularly people like myself from Toronto, are getting pilaged by those insurance bastards. The worst part is, if you ever get into an accident you opt not to go through the insurance in fear of your rate increasing more than it already is. I've had 2 at fault accidents in my life time, both times I paid out of pocket to fix it myself. So instead of calling it insurance, it should be called a "legality". The only reason I pay insurance is because by law I have to. But when it comes time to cover damages I pay for it myself, In the long run you save a ton more money. Crook bastards! Lol.
