What color did you paint the t symbol? I plan on painting mine soon, but i'm not sure what color would look best on black sand pearl...

well I've hand washed a car maybe 3 times in my life (since I discovered places you pay for them to wash it, i figure "why bother?"), but flock of birds dive bombed my Yaris and I'm too broke to pay attention (HA! I kill myself!) so I used my mom's Mr. Clean AutoDry Carwash tm and attempted to make it look presentable. Without a proper sponge, and being in a hurry because I was losing my light, and having rarely washed a car, I missed a lot of spots. Naturally I took pics of my craptacular work to share
Funny enough when clean, I like the look of the stock steelies less then when it's dirty... looks less like a ghetto rally car and more plain ghetto... ahh well maybe it's time to put the hubs back on...

Got them at a salvage yard... they all looked pretty nasty when I got them, but with a little paint thinner, black spray paint, and clear coat they ended up looking really nice.
A nice touch for a total of about 10 dollars. |

Yea I like them too! What kind of Toyota did you get those center caps off of? (and did you have to sticky tape them on like all the chrome ones other people use...)

they were on a few tercels I think? I actually see these caps EVERYWHERE, they might have been on old corollas as well. Most of the ones that are still alive are really gray and nasty though.
Our salvage yard doesnt keep an inventory so basically I just had to kinda walk through and scan every car for the caps... but I know for sure they were on older (80s maybe?) Tercels. I havent used any adhesive at all on my caps and they have stayed on just fine so far... I drove about an hour going between 75 and 90 mph and theyre still on nice and snug... so.... so far so good. |
