My simple wheels. before / after photos
After scoring a 07 yaris in great shape for under $4,000. I bought some miata rims for it. I found a hollow spoke set with brand new tires. Each wheel only weighs about 10 lbs! I decided not to lower it as of yet because my girlfriend is using it as a commuter.
I noticed an improvement on take-off and acceleration, much more responsive/lighter steering, and overall better ride ( new tire vs old ). Nothing special, just thought I'd share Here's pics of it before: AFTER: |

the difference in tire size will also contribute to the improvement
but will also throw your speedo off a little

Yep. I used the calculator on Miata.net and saw the minor difference.

I believe those are the 14" rims from one of the limited models of the NA Miatas.
