What is this yellow knob?
Just browsing some used Yarises, spotted this among the photos. This is a 2008 Yaris RS manual 5-door hatchback.
http://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-image.ht...ationFlag=true I've got a 2008 5-door automatic LE trim and it has nothing in that location. |

^It does look aftermarket, fog lights perhaps. Or ejector seat.

It's a RS model so it already had OEM fogs.

^Quite correct, I looked right past that. Perhaps something to do with the cord hanging out of the grill, block heater?

yeah, it looks like a switch for the block heater, you can see it in the first picture.

You would typically not need a button for the block heater though.

Well whatever it is it certainly isn't trying to be inconspicuous.

I emailed the seller to inquire, but I doubt I'll get a reply back. It's a used car dealer and I didn't say I'm interested in buying the car.
My only guess was that it may be the fog lights, but I imagine that would be on the stalk with the regular headlights. Maybe the original owner is member here and used that for the DIY cruise control :) |

It actually may be for adjusting the delay for the wipers. I remember a blue one like that where the owner had wired up an off the shelf time delay module to his wipers.

Nitrous. Definitely nitrous.
Pre-oiler maybe? Does the airbag recall affect the horn function as well? Wonder if the horn wire broke and he replaced it with that instead. |

Twist to reveal machine gun hidden in bumper. Push to commence firing.

Isn't that the Transformer button? Optimus Prime's manservant is a Yaris, no?
