Redyaris Has Left The Building

Redyaris here.

Just saying goodbye. I've been lurking on the site and not participating for quite a while now as I dont like drama (and theres been too much on this site)....and I had done everything to the car that I wanted to. I work at home 100% now and no longer need a commuter econocar.

I've recently sold my Yaris and got my wife a Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder (pic attached). Its her turn to have fun. I'm going to slap some 18" chrome wheels on it, a chrome rear license plate frame, and I already have 6000K HID halo chrome projector replacement lights being shipped as I type...

I will tell you that I sold my Yaris (with all aftermarket parts still on it - no I dont have anything for sale) for 80% of what I paid for it almost 4 years ago. Best resale value i've ever received. High gas prices and good fuel economy will do that, not to mention having the coolest Yaris around

My car is on its way to Nova Scotia where the rest of its life will be spent in the frozen tundra driven by a 28 year old woman.

Best wishes to everyone. I enjoyed working on this car and i'll miss it.

The Spyder looks like fun!

Those Nova Scotians, like all Canadians, live in igloos and ride around on dogsleds. I guess she can get the dogs to pull the Yaris.

Got the HID halo projectors installed. On to the rims...

I NEVER want to have to remove the Eclipse bumper cover AGAIN. What a freaking PITA! 2 hidden bolts UNDERNEATH The two front fenders in the wheelwell. Took 2 long extensions on my wrench to get to them.

I could have had 10 Yaris front bumpers removed in the time it took for this one.

BTW, this car's 4-cylinder hauls ass, with slightly decreased fuel econ than with my liftback. Wish my Yaris had been as fast....

Im also evaluating front grille options...Grillcraft makes a nice set for the upper and lower areas. Hate that gaping open hole beneath the front bumper, I thought the car was missing a trim piece.
