One way insurance for both my Yaris and Wife's Civic = 45$/month here. :)

I've never, ever paid more than 1400$ a year for both my Yaris and my Echo, both were purchased brand new. I did have to pay more for my Echo because it was "2" doors.

To justify paying high insurance premiums i wanted to get a car that was worth it. So i just bought a 97 Civic Hatchback with a B16a engine with lots of mods. Its the same $404/month for that or a yaris because im 19, with one 10km over ticket.

Let's hope the insurance company covers you when they find out about the "lots of mods". Unfortunately, in Ontario, almost all mods are a violation of the Highway Traffic Act. Yes, I'm also guilty, but old in comparison and under $100.00 per month.

Just sold my 2005 Echo, so technically not really qualified anymore, but I'm in the GTA!

Don't want to be 'that guy' that joins a forum just to sell something, and now that the Echo is gone, both my wife and I really miss it, so gonna see if I can contribute where I can to the forum.

Maybe we'll end up with a zoom-zoom'd yaris in a few years??
