Torque setting for brake job
Thought this should be included here:
Caliper: 25 lb-ft, or 34 Nm Caliper bracket: 79 lb-ft, or 107 Nm Tyre lugs: 76 lb-ft, or 103 Nm |

Bump from the Graveyard but for any of you lurkers, You'd want to get the brake caliper from a 0-14 Scion XD OR 9-13 Corolla LE,STD model
If you are like me and hit up junkyards more often than you call your mum... itll be useful info |

Just finished installing this setup on my car. It's actually the stuff in the pictures--bought them off Brushforhire after he totaled his. Install is super simple, barring any problems with stuck/rusted bolts. Still have to bleed the lines and refresh the brake fluid, but really looking forward to these!

Tell me how they feel, I put the bigger calipers on and while my booster might have been failing I hated the mooshy feel.

Sorry to bump an old thread - but will this work on a 2009 Yaris hatch with 15" wheels? I started compiling the parts and several OEM parts sites listed the rotors as fitting 2012 and on Yaris. I'm assuming they will but just need confirmation! My brakes are shot and I was considering this option vs slotted stoptech rotors from tire rack...

Looks like I missed the notification on this one. I've probably got some air in the hydraulics still, they didn't really firm up even after bleeding them twice. It's currently down for a slipping clutch, hopefully not related.

I have a feeling the mushy feeling has to do with runnigmarger calipers without upgrading the rest of the system. The pedal feel would be very sensitive to changes in fluid volume and likely leading to more pedal throw being needed (read: mushy feeling)
They tried something like this on the micra cup cars in the rear and found it threw everything off if the rest of the system wasn't properly matched

Posting an update for posterity!
I ran some OEM-grade pads with these on the road and they were acceptable. Tried them at the track and the pads were unable to deal with the heat. Changed over to Hawk HPS pads (HB627F.690), bled the lines and bedded in the pads. Phenomenal difference in stopping power and braking confidence! The pedal still has a lot of travel before it starts to engage but that may be related to the difference in brake boosters between the xD and the Yaris. |

Made the upgrade today, french version (original calipers are a bit different) with parts with the oem reported by OP, no problems at all installing the parts
60€ subaru trezia calipers 70€ brembo coated rotors 40€ ferodo ecofriction pads 15€ paint No spongy feeling, no slack on the pedal, nice extra stopping power Thank you very much for this post! Last edited by v114; 06-09-2020 at 03:21 PM. |

Came across this thread and went for it!
And so... I managed to fit the calipers of Gen 11 Corolla (We call it the 2014 Altis in Asia) into my Yaris Sedan (Vios NCP93). Paired it up with a 4x100 275mm slotted rotor meant for Vios NCP93 "G" Model.

After upgrading my pads with hps 5.0 and new stop tech plain rotors and running multiple 80+ to 25 mph consecutively, I can't understand why you would want more unless you track it.

Add another one to list doing this upgrade.
I found the corolla calipers at pull-a-part. I ordered the SE rotors and Hawk pads from Amazon..... |

Hi guys!
I also want to upgrade front brakes on my Yaris 3rd gen 1.33, 2012 production year. 1st post of @brushforhire is great! Sadly I can't find calipers with mounting brackets (or if I find one, I'm not really sure whether it is the correct part). Does anyone have the part number for it? Also, do I need to upgrade my heat shield? From what I measured larger rotors should easily fit, but maybe some does have a different experience. |
