No and if you talk to Toyota "HELL" no.....I was amazed at how many of the
things on this list I had a problem with and didn't know it....The only solution
is a picket sign INFRONT of a Toyota dealership saying "I AM A DISSATISFIED
TOYOTA OWNER" Toyota has had a loss of confidence by the American consumer
and thier answer is to ADVERTISE that they are a company of integrity. The
right of a consumer to picket a dealer is paramount....that dealer, if he is
smart will not let a dissatisfied consumer stay dissatisfied. A dealer can not buy
advertising that will over come a picket. From first hand experience.....don't ask
me how I know...that is my opinion, every one has one.

Does anybody know of a home fix for the a/c stink?

I am just out of warranty, but do have the extended warranty and Toyota certified used warranty.

You can start with checking the condensate drain hose to see if it is blocked. It is located under the front left corner of the passenger carpet. If you are lucky the stink is just due to it being plugged. If it is not plugged and the stink is due to the metal incompatibility issue of the TSB, then the only full resolution will be to replace the evaporator.

Since you have the extended warranty, I would see if you can get it checked out under that.

If they don't fix it under warranty you can try this. This stuff works wonders for removing the funk and smell.

I have an extended warranty.

Does it cover the stuff that says "36 MONTHS OR 36,000 MILES"?

Also, I only get fuzz when my mp3 player is plugged into the aux and powered at the same time. I remember seeing something about it but can't remember if it's under a TSB or not.

We also have the clunking noise from the front of the '08 Yaris sedan . Seems to be from the passenger side . Notice it when pulling out of an uneven surface such as parking lots ( higher slope ) onto a lower road . This has been going on for over a year . Tried to get a service to look at it awhile ago before the TSB for the U.S. and service manager said NO! This is a TSB for CANADA , so not needed . Feel like calling that service manager back and tell him there's a TSB for here now .

As for under the extended warranty . Very likely it's covered . Here's the online brochure that shows all parts covered . It's under suspension . http://www.toyotafinancial.com/consu...S_Platinum.pdf . This is the PLATINUM plan , go here for other warranty plans , http://www.toyotafinancial.com/consu...ProtectionPlan and click on VIEW BROCHURE . We plan on taking the '08 in soon for inspection . Still clunks on occasion .

How many hours would it take for replacement of both arms if needed ?

The TSB instead of a RECALL is a way for TOYOTA to save money and preserve the confidence of current and potential buyers . The '07s > '09s are very likely to be beyond the 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty and that puts the financial burden on those owners . Shame on you TOYOTA !

Companies don't generally do recalls unless it's a life threatening defect.

Rockland- do you have a copy of tsb 0055-11? It would be nice to see if it applies to my vehicle.
