when you put on the basket did you have to shift it to one side so it would bolt on the front bar next to the fairing brackets? my basket is lightly to the right.... nothing noticeable to the average person..... hmm. btw Im very happy with the rack even though I found the whole installation to be a hassle... those handles that screw on are a bit flimsy :( I broke the tab that goes in that slot....

Yes the basket is a pain to get it on straight since its meant for a yakima rack. You may have the newer Thule Aero kit, since I thought is was fairly easy to install, but a pain to get lined up straight.
