Blitz supercharger - coupler going bad?
I made another thread a week or two ago about an odd noise my Yaris was making. I'm fairly certain I have it narrowed down to being in the supercharger. I took the belt loose and ran the car for a bit with the belt off to eliminiate it being the alt, water pump, etc. The noise persisted. After turning the car off, I fiddled with the Blitz a bit by hand. Notice the noise it makes (pardon the audio problems due to a neighbor having a target shooting session). Does this sound like a bad coupler to you guys? Anyone have any luck getting parts for these? I've emailed Blitz USA a few times but they never respond.

Sounds like the bearing in the extension is shot (the one within the end where the pulley sits). That bearing takes way too much abuse for a little 6301-ZZ-C3 bearing.

I'm wondering the same thing. I haven't found any sort of disassembly manual online for the Blitz. I'm guessing there's oil in the snout as well.

So after reading these 2 threads, I think I may be in over my head here.
http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54088 http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51019 I'm gonna go out and see if I can take the snout apart to look for damage shortly. If it's messed up, what are my options? Sounds like Blitz/Ogura aren't interested in providing any support or parts.

Good grief I forgot how tight things are working on this car... I got the 1 bolt and 2 nuts off the firewall-side (under the fuel rail) for the blower but the front ones are being a real problem. Can't seem to find a wrench the right size to get up under there. Anyway, having the top off of it allowed me to listen to the noise more. I don't know anything about working on blowers, but it sounds to me like the noise is coming from the chamber where the rotors are, not the nosecone. I'd think since these are 2 sealed chambers, the noise would be much quieter inside the rotor area if it was a nosecone bearing. I could certainly be wrong though. I'll defer to those with more experience. Here's another short video.

Alright, blower totally removed. Contacted a company called Kawi Performance out of New York. Apparently these same Oruga superchargers are used on Kawasaki jetskis. They offer rebuilds and whatnot, so I'm going to send it off to them. They said they'd check it all out and give me a quote on what it cost to rebuild, if it's not totally hosed. If it's too much, I guess I'll be in the market for a factory intake manifold :(

So apparently at some point it ran out of oil or something like that, and it chewed the gears up. They said they don't have any gears at the shop there. Anyone have any idea where to get spare parts for these?
Kiwa says that Blitz/Ogura refuse to sell parts. Great. Screw you Blitz, I'll never buy anything with your name on it again.
