These cars are so low originally that it makes oil change quite difficult w/o jacking !
Drain plug is at oil sump under engine and if i remember correctly in middle of car center line ... My car is made in Japan and drain plug opens with 14mm socket or wrench |

You can drive the left side of the car up on a curb if you can't jack it up.
Oil filter is in the front of the engine facing down, and as said, the drain plug is on the black oil pan. 14mm. Takes about 4L of oil. |

It doesn't matter what side the steering is on. The oil drains from the right side of the car. That's why I said to drive up a curb on the left side. If you have a jack, then jack it under the subframe.

I use ramps. That was you can also do a careful inspection of the cv boots, exhaust sensors, shocks etc etc every time you change the oil. You can also get the rear wheels up on the ramps and check under there too for dammage, etc.
My son changes his Yaris oil by driving up on the curb with the right side of the car.

With the right side up the oil pan won't drain entirely.

That makes a difference! I'm afraid I must disqualify myself from advice as I'm easily confused by left to right hand drive differences!
But.... Ramps really do have other helpful uses...

While it is not absolutely necessary to elevate one side of the car, if you are going to do it, raise the side opposite the location of the oil plug on the pan.

I jack mine up on the right side, but it doesn't really matter, I put a short drain pan under it, remove plug and let car back down until all the oil is drained out, then jack it back up to reinstall plug and change filter. Be careful not to lose the sealing washer on drain plug, if it's missing replace it so you don't have to over torque plug to keep it from dripping, that's how a lot of oil pans get striped out.
