yaris challenge (manual drivers prefered)

This is a Yaris challenge to see if you can drive a manual transmission Yaris with one hand only. Shifting, steering, everything with only one hand you have to sit on the other hand (or something).

I think I could do it, but if I get the little hint that I could be hurting soon, you can trust me I'll be using my other hand for safety (dying is not fun).

No proof needed that you have completed the task (for other challenges there will be proof needed) please tell us how it goes.

Other Yaris challenges to come.

no disrespect but I think this is a pretty silly idea. Dying is no fun but neither is wrecking my baby because I'm being a dumbshit.

lol i do it when the situation requires it. usually if im smoking a cigarette and drinking some coffee on my way to work in the morning :) (not recommended) but in some dyre instances when i had to anwer my phone and my earpiece was dead, id shift with my left hand and steer with my knees. but its not that hard really, my girl would usually shift for me if needed but when shes not there id improvise i guess. i wouldnt try this in an area where theres traffic though. that would be dumb.

I don't drive a Yaris yet (it's on order) but I drive like that pretty often. With enough practice, it comes pretty easy.

actually its pretty easy, most times when i'm driving i'll have my left hand sticking out the window "just chillin" while i steer and shift all with my right hand.

hahah before i did this my ex would just shift for me. The only time i don't drive like this is probably big turns, hectic traffic, and highway driving

And people wonder why there are so many accidents...

Makes me really upset when I see people on the phone and trying to drive at the same time. I don't care if you're a better driver than everyone else, everyone thinks that. Driving while talking on a phone, not even to mention trying everything with one hand, is extremely silly and dangerous for everyones' life. Do yourself and everyone else on the road with you a favour. When you get a call, pull over to the nearest parking lot or side street to stop and call them back. It isn't hard.

And before people start whining "if you don't like it, don't read it". I have been in too many situations where I've been driving along, minding my business going the limit, and someone talking on a cell phone drifts into my lane no more than 2 feet in front of my bumper. Other provinces in Canada has made talking on the phone and driving at the same time illegal, and I believe strongly Ontario should do the same. It is the safe and responsible way to drive.

well in my case i don't support talking on your cell fone and driving at the same time. Its illegal here anyways. i'm merely saying from time to time i tend to just chill with one hand out the window and one hand on the wheel and i quickly shift with one hand then return it to the wheel.
