Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow...
I was able to order my Yaris today: a '12 3-door hatch w/5-speed in Blazing Blue Pearl. The only options are the floor mats, pin-striping, and door guards.
To say I am anxious would be an understatement. I have already been approved and put $5k down. Out-the-door price (without the cash down) was $16,106.xx I dealt with the fleet manager from beginning to end, and it was very trouble-free. It's getting put on the truck today and will be on-site tomorrow morning. My first new car, my first new Toyota. Awesome. I can't wait to drive her home tomorrow! Apparently, I can haz Yaris hatch! |

Nope. I was told TFS axed it for '12. That's fine. I am certain they are losing money on each one of these they import to the U.S.....With the yen-to-dollar exchange rate being what it is as of late, this car has to be just to boost CAFE (not like they need the help with the Prius family of cars) numbers.
Sorry for the delay, here are a few quick shots. I only got 2 hours sleep last night, so I am frazzled. But this car is so fantastic! "Pics or it didn't happen?" Oh, it happened, baby! I'll post more tomorrow when I am better rested and the sun is out. I made the right choice on the color, and Blazing Blue Pearl does NOT photograph accurately. It is even more gorgeous in person. It does feel big compared to the Geo Metro. It is much harder to judge distances for parking, but I am getting used to it.
The 2nd-Gen Yaris is still a great car. But the new exterior design, and especially the interior, blows the old Yaris clear out of the water. If you haven't, sit in one. It will surprise you. Going from a motorized shopping cart to a Lexus. That's what it's like. The Yaris feels like a tank, a vault. The quality is so there, man. This car will last me fifteen years easily, and I plan on getting all of my money's worth. This car is fantastic. Also, this car is so very tossable in the turns. It's not a Geo Metro, but it's very close. If you guys can, go get one. Get one now! |

Congratulations! Looks like a very nice car. Glad you are pleased. A rear sway bar will greatly improve handling. If you are interested, contact MicroImage for info on how to get one. They have great pricing. http://shop.microimageonline.com/Ult...R-AR19-100.htm
