Third Gen (5 Dr.)/ Designer Dezi Nagaya video

I don't know if anyone here has posted a link to this yet - a video of a Toyota Designer highlighting styling changes of the 3rd vs. 2nd gen 5Dr:

The part giving a 360 deg. view really pointed out a big design dislike - the pointy part of the hood, right about where the company badge is. It looks ok from most angles, but at a certain angle, it just looks weird - and really clashes with the back end's bubbly shape (which I love).

The front didn't impress me much to begin with, but I now think it will be a deal breaker. The IQ's "origami" front is a much better interpretation of Toyota's "new" look, IMHO.

Too bad. I still dig the Yaris for its 3 Dr. option, max cargo volume, and folding seats that give a relatively flat load floor without interference to the front seatbacks.

On another note, I'm glad to hear that the Nissan March/Micra is supposed to make it Stateside(?) It's cute (but yes, it does look like a girl car) and an enticing alternative to the Yaris LB. I especially like how the Micra lights are more rounded instead of angular.
