Speaker Size?
I had an '01 Echo that had a great stereo in it. Unfortunately, it was hit head-on by a railroad repair vehicle a couple of months ago. The car (and the stereo) was totaled by the RR insurance company and I have bought a 2010 Yaris 3 DR hatchback.
I really like the Yaris, but the factory stereo has to go. I want to upgrade the speakers first, but am confused as to the size. Most things seem to refer to the fronts as being 6.5", but Crutchfield says 5.25". I have also seen other places which say that the fronts are 6.5" and the rears are 5.25". What size do I have? I could go ahead and pull the door panels off, but want to wait until I get the speakers. David Nolen |

The stock speakers are:
Liftback: 5-1/4" Front, 6-1/2" Rear Sedan: 5-1/4" Front, 6"x9" Rear Deck But, you can fit 6 1/2" in speakers in the front. |

Thanks. I'll go the 6.5 route.
