1st ever Yaris Dragon Meet
April 11, 2009 : Yarstar and HTM Yaris were the only attendees ......this time The fun began around 1:30 pm EST . Starting with a formal introduction , then moving to inspect the Yari at hand , both drivers seem to bond on a "Yarisational" level The drivers quickly dispensed with the chit chat and got on with the business at hand . Riding the infamous Dragon . The Dragon was wet on this day . The Dragon is tricky enough when dry , ad water and one error in judgement could be certain death for a Yarisian or two . Luckily skill , cool heads , and one drivers girlfriend screaming "If you ever want to get in these pants again , you better slow it down right now " prevailed . The drivers talked about "next time" and then went back to their respective homes . Good Times Here are some pics . I'll post some of the video later

This was probably the greatest day of my Hatchback's life! You would not believe this road. Something like 300 turns in 11 miles. Thing is like a snake curving through the forest. Mostly run by motorcycles, b/c cars just can't handle it. Not the Yaris though. Our car is totally made for something like this. I dropped a Miata who tried to keep with me my 1st run through. Seriously. This place is where we need to meet. It was so cool running it with another Yari. HTM can drive!!!! That guy has a totally stock car except for springs and wheels and I could barely stay with him. Thank GOD his girl was holding him back from really pushing it. He even had a camera mount that used a suction cup to hold it to the roof of his car. He put his camcorder on it and we took off. I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT THAT VIDEO LOOKS LIKE!!!!
Truly....this is the place to meet up and run our cars. The Yaris is made for it. There are several areas to camp and also a couple of good Bed and Breakfasts' to stay at also nearby. Also regular motels. Next time is gonna be awesome. I can't wait to do this road dry.

Where is the Rock Store?
The Dragon starts at Deal's Gap.

Ooops the Rock Store is a famous biker hangout in the So Cal mountains, it's packed with twisties similar to the Dragon but spread out and higher speeds.
