My recent upgrade from China Manufacturing Sample Indash 2din headunit

I got someone in China who sent their sample for me for review. I'll show it on Monday if anyone is interesting in seeing one in action. Jan 31st East end Yaris meet. See you there.

Wow that looks hot!! How much to buy one? So built in GPS and Bluetooth eh very nice. Can it be wired so that a DVD movie will play without the damn ebrake engaged? Would be nice to have something for the passenger to watch on a long drive.

That's odd?

Your hand brake has to be engaged for a movie to play?

looks like the Eonon one, i sure do hate the UI and its graphics.

fyi, you just need to ground the ebrake wire to view in transit.

Nope, everything is unlocked, can play anything while driving ;) Only thing I don't like is the interface or apps that run the dash. It runs WinCE 5.0, has 64MB ram and 400mhz which is great but the guys who designed the interface probably thinking of a GPS rather than a 2din unit. When the car starts "Toyota" logo and emblem is on the dash just like the real thing. It then continues where it left off even with the GPS. I had an issue making the GPS work , default was com1 : 4800 bauds, now Its fixed @ com3 9600 bauds better and faster. Its running the Latest IGO8 with the Full Canada Maps and modifed US female voice with TTS. Much fun. I'll post some more new pics. The Buttons are neon green the Main page can be set to Green,Blue and red with a spinning globe in the background. If all goes well I could get these imported to Canada and sell for $4XX~$500(CAD) including drop ship and duties.

So what it can do:
6" Touchscreen
DVD slotload, USB, SDcard read files: MP3, Divx
GPS, Bluetooth stereo music and hands Free calling
TV NTSC & video input for rear camera
Radio AM/FM + 8 user settings
EQ Rock/Classic/Pop User: 50Wx4 Sub out, Extra Bass and loudness
custom made for the Hatchback Yaris but need to remove the vents onto this unit

Its from China and It's a sample and provided me for evaluation. If the price is good and works well I'll import them and selling to us Yaris owners.

I agree with the fitment. Its installed with the 4 screen holder and still 1cm away from the temp control panel. Maybe because its th measurement from a China Yaris vs North America. Pics coming in a day or two.

Yeah as per fitment I'd hope this issue could be addresses with them before you start becoming a distributor to the North American market. Even up on the top right by the vent it appears as though the panel is being pushed out by the unit. Send them back any negative feedback whatsoever so that they can take care of it asap. I'm sure if everything is looked after including a better user interface, that these things will be hot sellers indeed.
