Exclamation Ebay Intake?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-...mZ110307719026

Right now i have a Simota CAI that's converted to an SRI since the CAI doesn't really fit the Sedan too well. I was hoping to buy a new intake and sell this one to a hatchback owner. Has anyone tried this ebay intake?

I got my Fujita F5 on ebay....it's more, idk... I'm happy, I saw this one when I was shoppin for mine. IDK why, but I went w/ the Fujita... I also cruised you tube w/ keywords Yaris + Intake... That's how I chose... I liked the sound of the Fujita best...

also a majority of fujita intakes actually make the most power of other intake brands as well.

My friend had an intake from ebay on his accord. It broke after a while. I've have the simota one in my sedan with the extra tubing for CAI. Its a tight fit I know, but I havent had any problems with it and I've had it installed for months now. Though a lot believe that CAI doesnt do much for the yaris anyways so setting the Simota as SRI is just fine.

Exclamation

i guess i'll try to fit the rest of the CAI in there. Is this ebay intake a Cold Air intake? I'd rather stick to a short-ram intake instead of a cold air since I don't want to deal with a filter getting dirty down low.
I imagine all the intakes sound the same anyway.. i really doubt anyone could hear the difference between a Fujita vs an AEM etc.

I got the intake pictured there and I must say for the price to be as low as it is it has some nice workmanship in it. Now I'm not sure what type of HP gain this gave me, but I know it's better then stock. For quality The welds are nice and it is a solid piece, I don't expect to have any problems. I also can't see paying 200 bucks when something for 50 does the same job. I know most people try to stick with name brands, for the name. But I don't have that kind of cash.

you will never see the same performance gains out of an ebay intake vs. a good quality intake....never.

well considering the brand name intakes don't give more than 1hp gain in reality anyway, i don't think it really matters.

I have heard and seen the Fujita intake on a sedan and it looked and sounded wonderful.

Don't buy this Ebay thing. It is garbage.

i have owned some and every time i was dissapointed, they start to rust after a while filters are crap, their silicon hoses if applicable suck, they are all the same. you dont see track cars built with ebay parts do you? like i said before to each his own, but an ebay part is not considered a mod to me, more like "hey i was too lazy to save and get the good part" excuse.

i have an ebay one and for the last year have had zero problems

maybe some of you are just getting into cars now, but back in the day when you wanted a CAI or ram intake you had to build it yourself
