FS: 1987 Porsche 924S

well, my dad has decided to sell his 87 924S. since he can't use a computer he's asked that i sell it for him.

its a car imported from california by its previous owner. car is currently located in niagara falls, ontario

currently has about 71000 miles on it (was bought with about 60000 miles in 2005)

2.5L 4cyl with 155hp (+/-), 5speed manual. gets good mileage (about 9.5L/100km combined)



the good:
garage stored and not winter driven since owned by my father
original paint in excellent shape
no rust
interior in good shape (but has typical dash crack, if i recall correctly)
all work on the car has been preformed by August Lacourt in St. Catharines
new clutch assembly (disc, pressure plate, throwout bearing, etc)
new rear engine seal
new rack and pinion system
new fuel pump
new temperature sensor for rad fan
new front struts @60k
new-ish battery
new rear hatch struts
new catylitic converter (though not required for an 87)
new head unit and 4 speakers
new metallic window tint (not the ricey kind, it blocks more UV, i think). its about 35% on all windows except windshield
my dad has "silver wheels" insurance on the car right now which is about $100 to insure annually....so its likley cheap to insure for anyone



the bad:
a/c doesnt work
front drivers seat needs a patch, but my dad has seat covers on it
hood struts don't hold the hood open in colder temps
vibration from the cheapy cheap "cavalier" tires on there (suspension has been checked out by August Lacourt), so you'd be best to buy new tires (195-65-15 is the stock size)



car was appraised at $6500 when he first bought it, before any work/upgrades were done.

pretty rare car in awesome shape.
