194 Parking Light Harness / Socket

It appears one of my parking light no longer works.

I tried different wedge bulbs, but it will not turn on.

I checked the fuses in the engine bay, and the main 10A fuses for each headlight housing was good. Is there a specific fuse for the parking lights? I don't think there is, but if anyone can correct me I would appreciate it.

I'm not sure if the socket itself is the issue, or if the wiring is damaged.
My car was in an accident and after the shop released it, all the lights in each housing worked except for the one parking light (driver side). I would bring it back to them to look at, but I'm pretty tight for time lately.

Anyone know where to get a replacement Parking Light 194 harness / socket for the stock headlights?

I'm wondering if I should run wires to the side that works and tap the power/ground wires for that side's parking light...

The parking lights run off of the TAIL fuse (in the under the dash fuse panel).

They pass through connector D13 in the under hood fuse panel. In the picture below that is the connector on the left. The rightmost wire on the bottom row goes to the right side parking light and the next one over to the left goes to the left one. With power off you could measure continuity between the second one and your driver side tail socket. If it is open, then you know that that wire is damaged. In that case you could snip it one either end (leaving a few inches to work with) and splice a new piece in between.

Thanks CTScott.

I will take a look later to see if the wire is damaged or not.

Great reference.

When you say right side parking light, you mean the driver side?
Right side = facing the vehicle head on, so the driver side (in North America)

Think of it how you drive the car US drivers sit on the Left hand side.

^ exactly. I referenced the picture from the way it is shown, but the wire end points are referenced to the car itself (as if you were standing behind it).

I followed the power wires for both parking lights and they are the same shield as the two bottom right green wires on the left connector.

Thanks to CTScott for the reference on the power source at the fuse box.

It turns out the wiring was damaged about a foot away from the light socket. The wire came clean out like it was cut!

I patched it up and it works fine now. Didn't have to mess with the fuse box or any of the wiring closer to the fuse box.
