2007 Yaris---235,000 miles

I have put all the miles on this car with oil/filter changes every 5k miles.
I have gone through a starter, alternator, a couple of fan belts.
I am a senior driver, so it has not been abused
The car runs perfect, but I know it won't last forever.
The engine has never been into or even had a wrench on it.

QUESTION IS: Is there anything I should be concerned with, or check? inside the engine? Such as cam chain/or belt, Etc.
Just wondering how long these last??
Thanks

I'd have the spark plugs changed. Make sure the water pump is dry. Toyotas will usually have crusty red stuff below the pump when it's in the first stage of leaking.

plugs and fuel filter would be the ones id do as preventative..do an oil change on the trans..and filter if its an auto

outside of that my only concern would be brakes and wheel bearings..possibly balljoints and tie rods

Thanks for your suggestions !! I can handle the plugs, brakes, and filters myself but not sure how difficult a water pump would be, I have not seen any leaks yet but I have been concerned about it.

Best car I have ever owned, Thanks Again !

If you have been changing the oil like you say drive the car until it dies. It could last for another hundred thousand miles or even more. You didn’t say anything about the air filter I hope you’ve been changing that.

Basically if it’s not broke don’t fix it! You don’t have to worry about the timing chain if you’ve been changing your oil.

I too have a 2007 with that many miles. Did have a fuel pump sensor (fuel level) go out. I chased my tail on that one. My hatchback lift bracket broke. Fixed it thanks to Yaris World member suggestion. Changed oil every 3.5K miles. Changed Auto Xmission oil/filter twice. Changed the plugs, all easy. Never flushed the brake fluid. Changed pads once. Normal routine maintenance. Best car ever. No wonder Toyota got rid of it. They last too long.
