roof rack

My dad bought a roof rack 20 some years ago when I was a kid and he used it one for a week. So since those years, the rack was stored in the basement from many houses my parents had. Last week I decided to go on camping alone in Nepean area to relax and forget about everything. The problem is I didn't want the car full of stuff so I took the rack out and cleaned it. Then I decided to try it to see if it would fit on the yaris and guess what?! It does! it's not a perfect fit, the clamps are not as secured as I want them but it hold very well!

here some pics!

oh I know it's not centered on the car and it might look weird but hey it was free!

You should be able to cut a couple inches off each cross bar and make it narrower. Get those feet planted more firmly on the roof, rather than spanning the rain gutter.

It's soooo close. Good deal.

When did you move out of Edmunston?

well...as I tough...the clamps didn't hold on! I had to use 2 strap to hold the rack on the top of the car and it was making a freaking loud noise! 6hrs drive and me and the kids where barely deaf! And for conclusion, 3 scratches up to the primer on the roof~! thanks for a non compatible rack with red neck fixer upper!
So i got pissed, called rack ultra, they wanted 450$ for 2 bars and installation...checked at Canadian tire, paid 215 and installed myself with self satisfaction! now just need to find a way to remove the legs from the old one and put the basket on the 2 bars!
no pics tonight because we are having a thunder storm tonight in Montreal

well. 2 weeks later...the roof rack is gone and a new one is up! bought a Sports rack at Canadian tire for 250$, I also ordered a roof basket and I paid less than the rack itself.
here's pics of the rack only, the basket is still in the Edge right now, cause its too warm outside to install! (+39 degrees Celsius plus humidity!)
