hitch wiring hell
so i wired up hitch lights with one of those 11$ converters from autozone. when i went out to the race track with my bike in tow, the fuse blew for the running lights so i just unplugged the trailer and threw in a spare fuse, 30amp is all i had left so i made do to get home. i thought the problem was the trailer so after my dad rewired it up since it was getting old i tried it again. worked fine... for 2 miles! my friggin car was on fire and my signal wire melted with a positive wire so it was stuck on when i had my lights on. so i finally got around to pulling the car apart to find where the wires melted. come to find out i just rewired from the hatch all the way to where it goes into the floor behind the front seat... totally blows, now my signals and 4 ways dont work and if that problem isnt the fuse its gonna cost 50$ for a new flasher unit...
Lesson learned, buy a t-connecter from hidden hitch. |

Did i mention the ultra micro fuses on our car cost 1.80 each at the dealer and i cant find em anywhere else? |

Home Depot and Lowes carry the micro and standard auto fuses.
Picked up a few "tins" which contained a few different amp sizes for only a couple bucks. |

How did you route the wires for the trailer tail lights out from under the trunk?
