System is installed!

Well, it took a lot of work, but we finally got the system installed.

The head unit is a JENSEN VM9021TS 6.5" LCD TOUCH SCREEN

We put two ALPINE SPS-69C3 3-WAY 6"x9" S-TYPES in the back

For the doors, INFINITY KAPPA PERFECT 6.1 6.5" COMPONENTS- On these I ended up mounting the tweeters on the dash, and the crossovers behind the glovebox. I'm not sure if I like the look of the tweeters, but they sound very nice bouncing off the glass.

To run those speakers, we mounted an Inifinity 7541a, 4 Channel amp under the pasengers seat...a very tight fit.

For a little boom, We put an Infinity Kappa Perfect 10" Sub in a Q-Logic box in the back.

To run the sub we mounted an Inifinity 611a, Mono amp under the trunk deck. It looks very nice and clean.

For added power and so the headlights won't dim, we put a Rockford Fosgate Capacitor in front of the bask seat, hidden behind the plastic molding. That's also where we mounted the fuse box for the dual amp wiring kit.

I haven't installed all the door lock actuators yet, so until that's done I can't put the dynomat on, but once I do it should be all finished up!

It sounds great! Now I can listen to classicl music at ear splitting levels!

Be careful with the amp under the trunk deck. If it's how I think it is mine was installed like that and within a week the screws gave out and it fell into the spare tire lol. But then again it's about 25 pounds

Id recommend mounting that fuse in the engine bay......its a little safer that way.......

That would make no sense at all! You have any idea how much more wire I'd have to run to do that? Besides, it's perfect right where it is...plently of air, and easy to access.

My problem with pics is that my home computer is down right now. But I'll be moving this week and will have a working computer then. I'm on my work computer now, and can't upload pics to it. Be patient!

lol what you mean it makes no sense.....dude if you have a short you want to fuse it as close to your battery as possible......heat.....spark......fire.......check all recommendations on fuses, they all recommend they be mounted within i believe its 18 inches of the battery.......

Dude, i'm sure he has a main fuse on the main wire at the battery, the wire then goes to his "fuse box" in the rear of the car where he can then split the thicker wire to power his amps..

Main fuse up front by the battery, "fuse box" - better known as a power distribution block, can be mounted at the rear to supply power to multiple amplifiers and components.

I don't think anyone would neglect having a fuse near the battery if they've done some homework.

yea see thats what confused me.......the distribution block is fine back there, and your right it would make no sense that have it in the engine bay lol......now that were all good, nice choice on speakers, i have the exact same set up except i got 5 1/4's upfront, and 12" kicker comp sub and my speakers are running off the deck right now.....it doesnt sound 1/2 bad and i may leave it that way......
