Will these tires fit my 2009 Yaris?

Hi all,

I'll try to keep this short. I have a 2009 Toyota Yaris base with what I assume are the stock 15" Rims and 185/60r15 tires. I found a set of nice Mud and Snow tires for 50$. Their size is 205/60/R15. I figured that wasn't a huge jump so I should be ok. I did go through the little testerator majiggy that was linked in the Tire sizing guide. I think I have everything to spec but wanted to double check to see if I had things set up properly and what I want to do will actually work.

205mm width is probably too large for a 5.5inch wide rim. Here is a link to a handy chart:

Pretty sure the base gen 2 Yari' had 175/65/R14 steel wheels.

You are correct, the original base size are the 14s. From what I've researched, the difference in models was cosmetic, no real change to suspension parts that would make upgrading to 15s difficult, which is what I'm assuming the previous owner did.

That's really handy to know. Thanks a bunch.

I think I'll be selling those 205s that I found since they were cheap anyway. I ended up finding a set of 195/65/15s on a set of 06 cobalt rims, they fit pretty well, the only problem I've run into is when turning almost full turn, there seems to be some minor rubbing. I'm assuming they're rubbing part of the suspension since it looks like there's wheel well and fender clearance. I was thinking some small spacers ought to fix that problem. With us being in the snow belt, I'd rather deal with a bit of rubbing when turning then leave the near bald tires that were on the car on there.
