Lightbulb Relay Wiring for DIY LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL)

So we all know how to easily disable the DRLs if we have them. But I actually want to add some LED DRLs and all I've been able to find so far is the DRL-1 product from Webelectric.

So my question to Yarisworld (& CTScott) is - if I hook up two SPDT relays in series per the attached drawing ... will it work?

And if it will work ... do I need to be concerned that I'm running a coil off the same line that's power my headlights?

Basically, I'm running the power to the DRLs through the series connected relays - and if either Hi or Lo beam is active, the energized coil will break the circuit supplying power to said DRLs.
