been wanting to go hid but now i am running into cases where if i need to keep my drl and just run a relay will still cause issue with the hid due to a stupid drl pulse...need to run straight 12v current thru even on the relay. capacitor is an option ..but man what ever happen to plug and play..

plug and play HID's

yup.. i've had this problem where the DRL pulsed my fog relay... a cap fixed the problem.

the relay takes almost no power anyways... a 100uf cap will do the trick.

by the way.. i've already told you about the pulsed DRL...

OK UPDATE..just got back from this place where they sell hid and hid alone.. their digital ballast automatically shuts off drl plug and play for dual bulb u still got low beam hid and hi beam halogen..but im surprise no relay needed ..and yes we did try it out although i forgot to check my fogs if that was affected.... now since i didnt have time today ,tomorrow were testing bi xenon with built in relay and see if that works..

if i go dual bulb hid/halogen...its $80

now hes letting me try the new kit bixenon built in relay on each harness that one is $120 but i think i get get it for a bill...well see tomorrow.

hate the dual xenons you have to run 2 pair of ballast on them..

there are 5 types of H4

1. single beam low...you lose your high beams
2. low beam HID w/ high beam halogen
3. low beam halogen w/ high beam HID (rare combonation)
4. bixenon bulb w/ hid high/low beams - - has mechanical bulb that moves
5. bixenon bulb w/ hid high/low beams - - has 2 hid bulbs, requires 4 ballasts

the most typical bixenon kit in my experience is #4 aka H4-3

Did option 4 but even with relay it's still flickering. Damn pulse drl

as mentioned already, you just need a capacitor to smooth the output going to the relay. This will not work for ballasts directly connected to the bulb sockets without using a substantially large capacitor (and with the discharge-recharge phases it puts the cap under some stresses that are not ideal for this application), so the capacitor fix will only work for a relay harness.

Got this fixed just disconnected the blue wire in the drl relay it worked flawlessly

I got it at the plug.. and had it rewired to the pin that connects to the orange wire...

i just unplug the blue wire and thats it..no rewiring needed..
