Question Servicing and knocking noise ?

Hi All,

I'm a very happy Yaris 1.4 D4D owner for the last 8 years and have a few questions. This is the only car I have ever owned and don't have much of a clue about servicing etc.

Milleage is currently 49K, I have only ever had a mini service oil filter and I think spark plugs etc done. The car has never given me any problems and has just had its MOT which warned me that the front brakes are thin and theres a bit of a judder in them, but it still passed :-)

Q1)
What are the recommended service period and what needs to be done ?

Q2)
My road tax is costing me £210 is this correct ? I called DVLA and they yes this is the rate.

Q3)
Over the last year when I full lock the steering there's a light knocking noise that never use to be there, any ideas what this could be ? I don't think its serious or else would have been identified in the MOT.

Thanks in advance for any help/driection/advise.

Eric
