questions about my 2nd gen yaris

hey everyone! this is my first post and im happy to say that im in the process of getting my 07 yaris on the road. its my first car and im excited to get going on making it mine. first off, i was wondering if anyone knows if the 1nz-fe is a non interference engine and if it has a timing belt or a timing chain. second i have a double din stereo that i would like to install and im having a hard time finding a double din kit for the car. any help would be awesome and much appreciated. im looking forward to getting to know this little car with you guys.

Timing chain so no worries about a timing belt.

What type of radio do you have? If it is the one piece that looks like its part of the dash you will need to get a adapter from Toyota and then a double din adapter. I changed mine and it is fairly easy. Post a picture of your dash if you are unsure.

It has a timing chain should be good for 300,000 mi or more if you change your oil regularly with a good quality oil. I have 1 friend and 1 cousin who both love there Yaris I've been happy with mine. So I'm sure you will like it to. welcome

As for the double-din, take a look at this first to get you started in the right direction.

And this, to make aftermarket double DIN stereo sit flush, instead of poking out half a foot ;)
