Yet another cabin air filter part number...
Although my local parts store (Advanced Auto Parts) had the Purolator #C38188 filter, another "new" number popped up on their computer: #C35667. The new part was about a buck cheaper at $12.49.
The Purolator #C35667 filter, by comparison, just looks more substantial than the "old" #C38188. In addition to having bigger pleats, #C35667 uses a fuzzy gasket material (looks like Velcro) which is flexible. Installation was a snap since the filter can be shoved into the housing by "curving" like an accordion into the opening. The other one looks like it has a more rigid gasket (on all four sides) that doesn't allow this "curve" into the opening. Just passing this along. Sorry if this is old news...
