Bleh, there are a few features I like but for the most part it has lost the Yaris "charm." It looks too much like too many other cars, whereas the current Yaris is unique (well, it was until the Mazada 3 and Ford Fiesta hit our shores).

Toyota is making too many of their cars look the same, there needs to be some distinction between the models and this evolution of the Yaris has definitely removed some of its character...

Cheers! M2

I like a couple of the features. Not feeling the body lines AT ALL. The only other thing that I can say right now is....holy sh!t they have a Hello Kitty edition!

personally, its what i wanted the yaris to be in the in the first place....a dependable, properly designed hatchback that isnt universally seen as "cute" by everyone who sees it.

i hate it... the body lines no longer flow like they do in the current gen... they added body features that make it look like a bunch of other cars jammed together, like Nisan Versas, and Mazdas, and ugh Aveos... The current gen Yaris is unique, and that's a big selling point for me. I will not be surprised if Yaris sales go down with the new design (in the US, any ways)

Lets cross our fingers and hope it will under go some style revision before it reaches our market. The Green Scion IQ show car was a lot busier than the one that is purported to be coming our way.

All the ups and extras plus restyling are nice, however, they all add to the cost. That would turn what I consider the best value in cars to an ok value.

This is the US production Scion iQ introduced several months ago.

I think I prefer the European Toyota iQ.

And I love the green 5-Axis version you referred to.

I think you and I are the minority. I know a lot of people hate the center speedometer. I like it cause its unique and I think it works very well for a small car. I guess I'm bias.

but I bet ya Toyota lost a lot of sales cause of it. As petty as it is, trust me a lot of people hated it. Funny how people complain about cars being the same and then if there is a change, they dont' like it. Generally speaking.

The gauges and IP look like they are from the mid to late-90s Saturn. Seriously. Its shaped similarly as a Saturn IP. The car looks more generic. But of course when its sportied up then better but I guess you can say that for most cars. I think Toyota is trying to get more males hence the more angular design. Which isn't bad but the yaris lost is quirckyness IMO. We'll see on the interior quality and drive. That would be more of a test.
