DUUUUUDE!!

That was not a mere idiot standing on the freeway. That was an individual trying to commit suicide. Either that, or blackout drunk/high. He wasn't trying to cross, it's clear he was walking straight at you and towards the center of the lane. That was eerie as hell. Didn't even flinch. Your reaction was superb, especially for 4 am!

I've shared this with so many people already lol. So crazy.

I'll never know. First thought was stupidity, but when I watched the video on my computer and saw he was walking towards my car, that thought changed to death wish. Actually, my initial thought was he killed the occupants of the SUV in the side of the road, but I didn't hear anything on the news. After thinking about it more, I then thought it might have been a demented family member of that SUV who walked out onto the freeway when they were doing what ever they had to do on the side.

It was actually 3am, I forgot to adjust the time for day light savings

However, if that was later on in the week after working several 11-hour shifts, my reaction times would have been much slower. Would have probably hit him. What's more crazy is the camera picks up more light than what our eyes can see, so I actually only saw him right when I said, "oh shit!"

But that's why I have a dash cam, and tell everyone to invest in one since you'll never know when you'll need to prove something.

I've been thinking of getting a dash cam and this has really pushed me in that direction.

What is your setup?

iirc, it's the version 1 of the Viofo A119 (not the S). My FR-S has the simple Thinkware F50. I'll eventually upgrade to a 2 channel system and probably set that up to do parking mode.

I have the Viofo A119S in my Yaris. It's the second version, whixh apparently has improved contacts to the GPS mount. I have to agree it sees much better in the dark the you can see in the headlights.

Had the front and rear lower tie bars installed for a while now. Only now found bolts that works for the center tie bar.

No new updates aside from her essentially being sold. I will most likely stop driving her starting next week.

Sold?

That's a bit of a surprise. Selling Snow White and now Dory gets the chop, too? What gives lol?

Edit: Saw the Snow White post after this, looks like you're keeping her instead of Dory. What made you decide? Were you made an offer for Dory you couldn't refuse?

Well, I figured I would lose more money overall by selling Snow White considering how much money I put into her (bought her new, plus mods, etc). I actually am selling Dory (that's why I said "essentially") for super cheap and I'm only keeping the subwoofer and leaving everything else. My nephew will be needing a car when he gets his license soon.

I would normally say, 'as he should', but given where things are at and where they appear to be going, rare emergencies might be the only reason why.

I would gladly if it helped lol. Fewer and fewer cars coming with manual option these days and it's only going to get worse.
