Doors not open
I'm unable to open the rear passenger side door on my car (Yaris 2006). I tried both the electronic key and manual methods. I cannot open the door either inside or outside. The internal unlocking button was also useless. what would be the reason for this complicated situation

If the child safety locks have been switched to the on position that would explain not being able to open from the inside.

It is possible that the door release cable has become detached from the locking mechanism. It is a ball end cable that fits into a plastic piece on the release handle. You would need to remove the door card (interior door panel) to check.

+1, was going to say the same, especially since you can't open the door from both inside and outside.
