Turbo kit Brainstorming

So with Chino in the hands of the ZPI kit and the universe awaiting the E-manage map to be posted, I figured I'd get started on start piecing together a cheap, sort of copy cat of his kit to use the E-manage tune to get going.

For manifold I assume the one from TurboToyotas because I don't know of any other.

Used TD05 14b for the turbo.

Because I want to keep this as cheap as possible I'm thinking about using an intercooler off a Saab 900 turbo:

I don't know if there are any in the junkyards around here, I'm going to check tomorrow, but they can be had on eBay right now for sub $50.

Again, to save money I'd like to mount it directly above the engine so as to use the least amount of piping, very similar to what is seen on the Vitz Turbo M/Modellista Turbo:

I'm at a loss about what sort of BOV to install, so if I could get some recommendations here, that would be great!

Now, I assume the tune on Chino's kit was done with the MAF on the boosted side, so I guess that I'll have to in place after the BOV with some minimal piping and curving to mate to the TB.

I'm curious as to the changing in IC piping length will mess with the tune, but if it does at all I'm hoping it's minimal so I can get the car semi-drivable if only to get it to a tuning shop to get it fix the tune to account for this.

So little details would be oil lines. Where do I tap in for them? Should I invest in like a ZAGE oil pan or just tap a return line in my stock one?

Any and all thoughts appreciated, I'm not really familiar with turbocharging, but really this NEEDS to be done, if not on my car, then on others, because we need more boosted Yarises out there to encourage others to improve on what we already have.

I will be making a DIY on this kit if it works out so other members can follow and get their boost on.

I tapped my pan. Use whatever BOV and wastegate you like, as long as it's a name brand. I like TIAL.

I think you can get a bigger IC for $50 used.

I'm pretty sure the Blue is what the ZPI kit has, and it's operational so really that is all I care about right now.

The Ultimate is pretty bad ass though, what with the self-tune learning and Nengun even has the harness for the Vitz, which I would hope would be the same for us over here.

But! It's double the price of the Blue, and I'm going cheap and easy.

Get ahold of Tamago via Scionlife or AIM, he so far is a good model to look towards when trying to build a budget turbo kit so far.

Yeah, I read through his build thread over on SL while I was thinking this up, but good idea.

Im sure if you asked him for it, he would get it to you, you can find him on Myspace, or even he may have left his contacts for AIM here.
