Post your Favorite strip of road!

SailDesign gave a neat idea. Let's post some of our favorite spots to "safely explore the potential of the Yaris".

I'll start, you can use Google Earth to present your favorite spot/spots.

1st one is Chemin des Anciens Combatant exit from highway 40 West near my house. the westbound lane is awesome as there are few quick succession corners followed by the left hand sweeper. The bottom part to get on the 40West is tricky as it splits up.

2nd picture is the End/Beginning of highway 13. the left hand outside sweeper is a medium to high speed corner if you know what you are doing.

I can't use google earth to show you my favorite road. It is covered by trees. It is a road call Sleepy Hollow. It runs from Jefferson County into Oldham County here in KY. It can be driven uphill or downhill. Lot of curves with a decent dropoff on one side with rocks on the other. You can see at least three corners ahead on most of the road. Hardly anyone lives on it so there isn't much traffic.

The entrance to a local metro-park, West to East elevation drop of ~40ft (so it's a big tilted circle), speed limit is 45 in the large, south, circle, 35 in the small, north, oval.

Coming from the South, turn into the large circle which is on-camber from SW to N positions...head around CCW until the merge at the northern edge, and merge into the smaller oval (also on camber) so the road goes from sloping up left to right, to sloping up right to left and you get a nice little lift feeling as you cross the inversion point from CCW to CW.

Sweepers and twists were more fun in my MINIs, but in my Yaris I enjoy employing the light steering and tight turning radius in your everyday, run-of-the-mill parking lot or similar. I don't have to seek out extreme motoring fun any more....now it's all around me and no need to speed!!!!

The River Road in Illinois :)

Lot's of great trails to hike in Pere Maruette if you're into that sort of thing, and of course some awesome scenery.

My favorite stretch would be following the Chateauguay river road from Chateauguay to Huntington.Nicely paved and plenty of twists and curves and the scenery aint bad either. Give it a try some time PK

Victoria Bridge, southbound merging to 132WEST, the last 2 corners before hitting 20/132 west is my favourite. They are not really large, i do it at 80kmh on a dry summer day

2 fav stretches (sorry, way too hard to just name one)

Start: Westlake commercial area, corner of Hwy 23 (Westlake Bl) and US 101.
1. Go south down Hwy 23 into Santa Monica Mountains (Westlake Bl turns into Decker Cyn Rd).
2. Keep eyes wide open and try not to shit pants while negotiating shotty patches of pavement and sudden sharp turns and hairpins, some with missing or broken guard rails.
3. Turn right onto Hwy 1 (Pacific Coast Hwy).
4. Stop at Neptune's Net Seafood for lunch and a beer
5. Continue up coast to Mugu Rock
End: Pull into lookout point and just chill

Total distance: 20 miles

The "mixing bowl" for highway speed insanity. It's the intersection of I-95, I-495, I-395, and several feeders.

For side road fun, Georgetown Pike, just east of Old Dominion Drive. The whole stretch is fun, but this is my favorite turn.

Carbon Canyon is a good time. But Glendora Mountain is more fun.
