I can't afford this hobby, but every first weekend in June, there is the WWII Weekend in Reading, PA. I usually ride out with my motorcycle and walk though the festivities:

I have various hobbies and interests that I enjoy doing. Here are some of them: Reading: I enjoy reading different genres such as science fiction, fantasy, classic literature and popular science books. Traveling: I love traveling and learning about different cultures, local traditions and cuisine of different countries. Photography: I am passionate about photography and love to capture beautiful moments and landscapes. I also love fixing appliances, I was inspired by https://reliabletechteam.com/kitchen...top-repair-la/, thank them so much for that.

Overlanding Africa in Yaris p1 2004 Cross

Hello Guys,

I just thought id reach out to any Yaris lovers that may be in this group and share my modification of my 2004 P1. Im currently on a road trip from Cologne to Cape Town and in Cameroon now after crossing the treacherous border in from Nigeria over the last few days in the mountains.

I drove as far into Africa as i could with the car over the last 4 months along the west coast and let the locals modify it like theirs along the way to suit the road conditions as they come. First i started by letting them rebuild the front suspension legs in Guinea so they would be much harder and raise the front of the car for pot holes. Last weeks i found out i would have to make a crossing (in order to complete this trip) in the mountains between Nigeria and Cameroon which only old landrovers have made - for this i had the entire front and back suspension raised 15 cm and Snow Tyres fitted to the front plus i creased the front wheel size from 14 up to 15 inch to deal with the mud.

It took 3 days in total to make the border crossing in the mountains and the locals said this is the smallest car in history to make the crossing. I am also just completely shocked in how reliable the car is and that i didn't bust a joint with all that off roading!!! I rolled into Cameroon (central Africa from west Africa) yesterday with much excitement from the locals. Hope you guys enjoy reading and take a look at my photos. I call this model the Yaris Cross.

It's awesome that you make it to the WWII Weekend in Reading, PA despite the costs. Sometimes, passions find a way, right? Your motorcycle ride and immersion in the festivities sound like a blast. If you ever want to add a musical element to your experience, consider trying out the bodhrán. It's a unique drum that could bring a whole new rhythm to your WWII Weekend adventures.
