Auto high beam mode doesn’t work…

Looking for ideas as to how to get auto-high beams to work in my 2017 3-door L hatch.

With the auto high beam button pushed, the green ahb light comes on the dash. I’m seeing tutorials where the stalk is supposed to have an “auto” selector (for whatever reason my car doesn’t have that mode, just off, drl and headlights), so I simply push the stalk out (like you would if you were running high beams).

Long story short, high beams work but as soon as I push the ahb button by the traction control, high beams go away. I’ve cleaned the windows, not sure how one would go about cleaning the sensor but car has never been smoked in and kept pretty clean. Any thoughts?
